Senior representatives, experts, policymakers, public authorities, businesses and civil society from across the European and Nordic region will come together to ensure that food waste stays high on the political agenda. 

The programme includes sessions on obstacles and solutions, whether regulation or voluntary agreements is the right way to go, how to change consumer behaviour, tackling food waste as a way to boost resilience and how to redistribute unwanted food.

Various side events will take place in Copenhagen on 8 December, looking innovative ways to reduce food waste in Denmark, scaling up the use of agrifood side streams, the largest food waste tackling initiative in the Benelux and more.

The official Nordic Food Waste Summit 2026 Dinner will take place at Copenhagen City Hall on 8 December - a good opportunity for networking!
