Registration now open for EU Green Week 2025!

This year, EU Green Week will focus on circular solutions for a competitive EU. It will explore how the EU economy can speed up the transition from linear to circular models of production and consumption.

On 3-4 June, a series of high-level debates will be opened by Jessika Roswall, Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy. The commissioner will outline her vision for a circular economy that enhances competitiveness, resilience and economic security while protecting our natural resources in today’s complex and uncertain global landscape. On 5 June, stakeholders will come together to discuss how to unleash the circular economy’s potential to create a competitive and resource-efficient Europe.

EU Green Week 2025, organised in partnership with the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform and the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative, is part of an ongoing dialogue on enhancing Europe’s competitiveness by embedding sustainable circularity across all sectors of the economy. Earlier this year, the Competitiveness Compass and the Clean Industrial Deal provided key guidance on how to maximise the EU’s limited resources and reduce dependency on third-country suppliers of raw materials, while reducing waste and extending the lifetime of materials through recycling, reuse and sustainable production.

On 10 April, the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform's Circular Economy Stakeholder Dialogue brought together industry leaders, policymakers, researchers and civil society to discuss the key EU circular economy policy priorities for the 2024-2029 mandate. The outcome of this event will contribute to the Circular Economy Act, to be presented in 2026, and feed into the platform's conference on 5 June.

Did you know that the conversation on circular solutions is not limited to Brussels? Throughout June, up to 300 EU Green Week partner events across Europe and beyond will be organised by the public and private sectors, as well as educational institutions and environmental, commercial and non-profit organisations. These events will set out what the circular economy is, what it means for business operations, how it can have a positive impact on people and the environment, and what we, as consumers or business owners, can do to be part of it.
