Summary of the pledge
Miele & Cie KG is pledging to use 5,000 – 7,500 tons of recycled plastics by 2025.
At the time being, we cannot yet provide a detailed outlook for the various resin types. The main plastic material relevant for our production is PP followed by ABS. We are using 18,000 tons PP with fillers, 6,000 tons plain PP, and 3,250 tons ABS. Approximately 50% of the plastics are purchased as resin, the other half is obtained as parts or assemblies from suppliers. Accordingly, the focus is recycled PP, but other projects using other materials such as ABS may evolve in the course of the journey.
