Proposals under the call on Demonstrating and deploying innovative collection, sorting-for-reuse and repair systems for textiles at city/region level (Circular Cities and Regions Initiative topic) must look at waste collection, keeping products in use for longer, behavioural change, circular textile methodologies and circular business models.

They will need to come up with innovative solutions that accelerate the adoption of textile reuse and repair practices by local/regional authorities and their operators. Key aspects include improved data on supply chains, preparing for DPPs, making repair and reuse affordable and feasible, and replication across Europe.

Proposals must involve a range of actors and be in line with the goals of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI). They must evaluate the feasibility, effectiveness and impact of the demonstrated solutions and present data and evidence about their economic, environmental and social costs and benefits.

At least nine regional or local authorities must be part of the consortium as beneficiaries, including three from different demonstration cities/regions and another six from other and different replication cities/regions. Activities are expected to achieve TRL 6-8 by the end of the project
