LIFE programme
The LIFE programme is the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action.
It is run by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA). The current programming period runs from 2021 to 2027 and has a budget of EUR 5.45 billion.
It is divided into four sub-programmes:
- Nature and Biodiversity
- Circular Economy and Quality of life
- Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation
- Clean Energy Transition.
Funds are available by means of calls for proposals which are published each April. There is support for applicants.
