COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding organisation for research and innovation networks. It has various Actions which will help link up research initiatives across Europe and beyond and enable researchers and innovators to grow their ideas in any science and technology field by sharing them with their peers.

One of these Actions, CircularB - Implementation of Circular Economy in the Built Environment, aims to develop a common international framework for a circularity rating tool. It will be based on both Key Performance Indicators using best practices in the area of circular construction and the European Circular Economy Action Plan.

CircularB is organising an EU Green Week partner event aiming to advance its strategic objectives by focusing on the development of circular business models, circularity frameworks, KPIs and digital integration. They have launched a call for contributions to this event (deadline: 31 March).

Contributions are invited on, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Innovative circular business models to promote economic viability and adaptive reuse
  • Stakeholder engagement and policy influence to maximise impact and strategic alignment
  • Digital integration through BIM and digital twins to enhance circular economy implementation
  • Harmonisation and standardisation of methods to support international collaboration and consistency.

The workshop will be hybrid and in English. Only CircularB members can attend in person but online participation is open to everyone. It will take place on 25-27 June in Sarajevo.
