#iCOSHELLsCalling: Info webinar on the Open Call on boosting soil health innovation

The Horizon Europe iCOSHELLs project aims to reduce soil pollution and promote restoration, improve soil structure and biodiversity, and increase soil literacy among society.

It has six Living Labs which foster co-creation among farmers, researchers, SMEs, NGOs and public administrations. Each one focuses on specific regional challenges, such as

  • Soil structure and biodiversity improvement (Sweden, Italy)
  • Reduction of salinity and pollution (Spain, Greece)
  • Circular and community-driven restoration (Basque Country)
  • Sustainable viticulture and erosion control (Bulgaria)

The project has launched an open call: iCOSHELLs will fund and integrate new stakeholders and prototypes (innovative practices, technologies, circular solutions or tools), to be tested in real-life conditions within the Living Labs. Selected applicants will become full members of the iCOSHELLs network, participating in co-creation activities and solution validation for soil restoration and sustainable management.

The call is open to researchers, businesses, public administrations and representatives of civil society (e.g. consumers, environmental NGOs). Twelve applications will be accepted, two for each living lab. Up to EUR 75 000 will be available for each project.

This webinar will provide further details about the open call and application process. It will take place at 10:00 CET on 17 December. Registration.
