TBMCE 2024 (Technologies & Business Models for Circular Economy) will focus on emerging technologies and innovative approaches - from development environments to practical implementation.

This science-oriented conference is organised by the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the University of Maribor, in cooperation with SRIP – Circular Economy, managed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Štajerska.

It will address the current challenges for technological development and society's responsibility when it comes to the transition from fossils to renewables, from linear to circular. 

There will be six panel discussions:

• The transition to carbon neutrality in energy-intensive industries
• Valorisation of used and contaminated wood 
• Circular construction and mineral carbonation
• Critical raw materials and circular economy transition 
• Industrial symbiosis and its opportunities for the industry
• Artificial intelligence and circular economy: a match made in heaven?

There will also be a workshop on Why we need LCA training: Challenges and Opportunities.

TBMCE is a great opportunity to meet with potential partners and bring together business people, researchers, innovators, developers and decision makers.

This event will take place at the Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož, Slovenia, from 4 to 6 September. It will be in English.
