With the current mandate of the Coordination Group (CG) of our European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform (ECESP) drawing to a close in the Autumn, we warmly thank the CG members for their contribution to the Circular Economy transition.

Much has been accomplished, but much remains to be done. The Platform is ready for new challenges with a new Coordination Group whose mandate will run from November 2020 to May 2022. We are launching a Call for Expression of Interest for the new mandate of the Coordination Group with a deadline on 11 September 2020 5 PM CEST (new deadline). The call is open to stakeholders willing to take part in this unique European initiative.

In order to fulfil its key role of implementing the Platform's objectives, we will select 24-Members of the Coordination Group bringing together the following circular economy-related:

  • Multi-stakeholder networks/platforms
  • Groupings/organisations of businesses, of trade unions and from the civil society
  • Networks of national, regional and local public authorities/bodies
  • Organisations from the knowledge and research communities, think-tanks, universities.

Members will have to be proactive and show their constant and regular commitment to disseminating the concept of the circular economy on a national; regional and local level. To reinforce the cooperation among stakeholders and to provide a framework for exchange and discussion. They need to be confident that they can dedicate sufficient energy and resources to their role as laid out in the Terms of Reference.
