Conference on the Circular Economy and Rational Use of Raw Materials

Description

For the third consecutive year, the Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Waste Management & Recycling Cluster has jointly organised an International Conference on the Circular Economy and Rational Use of Raw Materials. The aim of this conference is to exchange knowledge and experience as well as to present the implementation of the circular economy in Europe within the framework of creating new pro-ecological technological, organizational, and systemic solutions in the wider area of mineral resources management. The conference also serves as a forum for the discussion and presentation of good practices.

Following successful 2017 and 2018 editions, both in Krakow, the third edition of this conference, organised by MEERI-PAS and the WRMC took place in Racławice on 2-3 July 2019, bringing together more than 200 participants.

While raw materials and local industries such as mining, chemicals and manufacturing remained the main theme, this year ECESP Coordination Group members such as Ecopreneur.eu and ENEA also shared their wider experiences with implementing the circular economy in The Netherlands and Italy respectively.

The agenda and conference abstracts can be accessed below, while full presentations, including a keynote on Wine and the circular economy, can be viewed on the conference website here.
