Buurman is a hardware store and workshop that only uses secondary materials, such as wood from demolition sites and insulation materials, plywood and cables from construction sites in Rotterdam or from exhibitions and festivals. They also rent out machines and other tools and give tailor-made courses in woodworking.

The shop is located near the new Het Hof van Cartesius, the cooperative that builds circular green workspaces for entrepreneurs. Buurman provides secondary materials for building the cooperative's office spaces, contributing to the continued expansion of the circular economy in the area.
