This report is the final outcome of the 2021-2022 collaboration between the Joint Research Centre, the European Environment Agency and its European Topic Centre on circular economy.

This collaboration entails the area of efficient and circular management of material resources and, in particular, raw materials. Ultimately, the report and underlying findings are meant to further the development of the European Commission’s Raw Materials Information System (RMIS). 

This structured knowledge base looks at non-fuel, non-agricultural raw materials from primary to secondary sources. Goals including facilitating the availability and quality of knowledge required by EU raw materials policies and EC services, and access to key raw materials information from knowledge bases in and outside Europe.
