PACCT for Sustainability aims to make service and sustainability the keystone of businesses across Europe and to build a European community focused on Product as a Service. It is organising an EU Green Week Partner Event to launch its new policy brief: Accelerating Circularity and Competitiveness in Europe through Product-as-a-Service.

To reach its climate goals, the EU must double its circularity rate from 12% today to 24% by 2030, as laid down by the Clean Industrial Deal. Achieving this target requires more than technological advances: it demands business model innovation. That’s where Product-as-a-Service (PaaS) models come in. By shifting from ownership to usage-based services, they help companies reduce environmental impact, optimise resource use and build long-term competitiveness.

PACCT for Sustainability's new policy brief is designed to provide EU policymakers with actionable recommendations to better integrate Product-as-a-Service business models into the Circular Economy Act.

Agenda:

• 17:00-18:00 CEST: presentation of the policy brief, overview of the Product-as-a-Service (PaaS) model and its benefits, presentation of PACCT's recommendations to accelerate the development of PaaS models, Q&A session.
• 18:00-19:00 CEST: if you're attending in person, you can also join the open discussion and networking over drinks and light refreshments, where policymakers and sustainability experts will have the opportunity to exchange ideas, ask questions and provide feedback on the policy recommendations.
