Building the next generation of responsible electronics: printed electronics for a changing world
This conference will bring together four Horizon Europe projects working on sustainable printed electronics:
- SUINK (SUstainable self-charging power systems developed by INKjet printing) aims to design and implement sustainable, flexible and printable self-charging power systems to supply power to a wide range of sensors for the automotive industry.
- ECOTRON aims to improve the sustainability of functional electronics by developing innovative technologies, new materials and processes for circular, recyclable and bio-based electronics.
- HyPELignum (Hybrid Printed Electronics and forest-based materials (Lignum)) explores wooden materials in hybrid printed electronics to produce functional electronics with net zero carbon emissions.
- CircEL-Paper (Circular Economy Applied To Electronic Printed Circuit Boards Based On Paper) aims to close the loop for reliable printed circuit boards by using paper and paper recycling processes, exploiting secondary raw materials, using bio-based materials and harnessing cost and material efficient printing processes.
This conference will explore the future of printed and responsible electronics. Learn about how circular, bio-based and flexible electronics can move from research to real applications and discuss the future of sustainable electronics in Europe.
The programme will include:
- key results, including industrial use cases
- a discussion on solutions’ implementation and go-to-market strategies
- policy discussions connecting research, industry and decision makers
- tangible demonstration results of printed electronics.
Whether you are developing products, exploring new materials, shaping policy frameworks or supporting Europe’s green and digital transition, this event offers a space to exchange ideas on the future of sustainable electronics.
It will take place in person at 09:00-16.30 CEST on 1 July in Brussels.
