FUELPHORIA is an EU-funded Innovation Action project that aims to establish sustainable, competitive and secure value chains from advanced biofuels and renewable fuels of non-biological origin.

It will hold a webinar to present an overview of ongoing activities across FUELPHORIA’s four demonstration sites in Belgium, Spain and Greece. The webinar will focus on sustainable feedstock conversion pathways for biofuel production, with a distinction between catalytic and biological processes. Leading partners from each demo site will present the main objectives and current progress, share preliminary insights from laboratory-scale results, and showcase plans and challenges related to technology scale-up.

Each demo site is exploring a different method for manufacturing biofuel:

  • advanced biofuels from biogenic CO₂ via a two-stage fermentation process
  • methane from biogenic CO₂ and green hydrogen
  • valorisation of digestate for biodiesel production through microalgae
  • bioethanol and e-methanol production from organic urban waste

The webinar will take place at 10.00 to 11.30 CET on 4 December. Registration and programme.
