Circular synergies: Recycled materials empowering clean energy

This workshop is organised jointly by AIMPLAS, the Plastics Technology Centre and ETRA, the European Tyre Recycling Association. It aims to connect the worlds of recycling and renewable energy, fostering synergies between materials circularity and technologies such as photovoltaic panels, wind turbine blades and batteries.

Specifically, it will explore how recycled plastics and rubber can drive the clean energy transition and how renewable technologies can, in turn, power a more sustainable recycling industry.

There will be poster sessions where companies and research centres will present innovative ideas and potential R&D project concepts, followed by an interactive round-table discussion guided by key emerging topics identified by AIMPLAS and ETRA. The goal is to generate new collaborations and shape future European initiatives focusing on the valorisation of recycled materials within the clean energy value chain.

The workshop will be a unique opportunity to discover new perspectives, foster partnerships and co-create the next generation of circular solutions.

This event will take place at 08:30-14:00 CET on 12 December. It will be in person and in English. Registration and programme. This workshop will take place immediately after PLASREC.
