Circular Week 2026
Circular Week is an international series of events and initiatives dedicated to the circular economy and sustainable development, with events organised in Aachen, Wuppertal, Warsaw and partner cities across Poland. This year, it will be organised for the first time as a joint German–Polish initiative, strengthening international cooperation and knowledge exchange.
The event aims to promote the concept of a closed-loop economy, support sustainable business models and foster collaboration among stakeholders.
Each day will be dedicated to a different topic:
Sustainable development in logistics and supply chains,
Cities of the future – energy materials responsibility,
Bio-based and blue solutions for a circular future,
Sustainable energy transformation,
Cooperation and solutions for climate-resilient agriculture.
Each day will feature a variety of events, such as workshops, seminars, networking meetings, business matchmaking and networking for both Polish and international participants.
The focal point of Circular Week is the European Sustainability Congress 2026, taking place on 29 October in Warsaw and online. It is aimed at public administration, local municipalities, companies, CSR, sustainable managers, local administration, start-ups, media and the general public. It will feature lectures and discussion panels among international experts representing areas such as macroeconomics, bio-economy, urban infrastructure, waste management and plastics. There will also be a networking area with booths, where circular projects and start-ups will show what they are doing.
The Repair & Share Festival 2026 will be the closing event of Circular Week. Taking place in Wuppertal, Germany on 31 October, it will bring repair and second-hand practices closer to everyday life and showcase how circular consumption can become an attractive and viable alternative to buying new. Stakeholders from civil society, voluntary initiatives and the private sector will pilot a Repair Hub and foster synergies between grassroots repair initiatives and professional repair businesses.
Through a programme including a second-hand fashion show, interactive activities for all age groups, and hands-on repair experiences, the festival aims to make circular practices tangible, social and empowering.
A central highlight will be a world record attempt for the most repaired items in a single day—read more about this topic on the FAB Region website!
