Circularity in practice: ensuring policy effectiveness, realism and the right market
This conference will explore how to make circularity work on the ground.
There will be short sessions on the Circular Economy Act and dialogue on the circular economy. These will be followed by a panel discussion on whether including the waste sector in the Emissions Trading System will be a boost or a barrier to circularity. This discussion will bring together key actors from across the industry and institutions. It will be an opportunity to exchange ideas and connect with leading experts in waste management and circular economy policy.
Speakers include Marco Canaparo, Deputy Permanent Representative of Italy to the EU, Letizia Moratti, Member of the European Parliament, and Aurel Ciobanu Dordea, Director for Competitive Circular Economy & Clean Industrial Policy in the European Commission's Directorate-General for the Environment.
The conference is organised by FEAD, the European Waste Management Association that promotes the circular economy by representing Europe’s private resource and waste management industry, and its Italian members A2A (dealing with energy, water and the environment, with a circular use of resources), and Assoambiente (representing businesses mananging environmental services and circular economy companies at national and municipal level).
This event will take place at 09:00–12:30 CET on 24 November at Palazzo Giureconsulti, Milan. It will be in English and in person only. Registration and programme.
