Co-organised by the European Commission’s Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) and its strategic partners, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), this hybrid WCEF2024 accelerator session will  take place on 18 April at 9:30 - 15:15 CEST. It will focus on how EU cities and regions are moving ahead with the circular transition.

This event will feature several interactive round table sessions on how to get the governance and finance right. The sessions will connect up like-minded cities, regions and partners so that they can share what they've learned about going circular. It will also introduce the main advisory and support activities offered by the CCRI, including the EIB’s Circular City Centre (C3) initiative and the OECD’s support for CCRI Fellows. There will also be a matchmaking session where city/region representatives can make connections with potential partners.

This workshop is an accelerator session of the World Circular Economy Forum 2024. WCEF2024 will bring together forward-looking thinkers and doers and present circular game-changers. The Forum will take place from 15 to 18 April in Brussels. It's organised by Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, and produced with Circle Economy Foundation (programme partner) and the International Resource Panel (science partner), in close cooperation with international partner organisations.
