Designing the circular future: from pilots to industrial impact

What does it take for circular economy solutions to move beyond experimentation and become part of Europe’s industrial reality? That is what this event will endeavour to answer.

It is the final event of the CURIOST project which focuses on promoting circular economy practices among SMEs and small mid-caps in Central Europe's mechanics & mechatronics, plastics, packaging and construction sectors. The conference will highlight how pilot activities carried out with SMEs can translate into scalable approaches, practical tools and policy recommendations supporting the transition towards a more circular economy.

The morning will open with a presentation of the CURIOST journey, results and impact, followed by a keynote address on “Cohesion policy support for circular solutions”.

The panel discussion “From circular uptake to action” will then bring together different perspectives on the challenges and opportunities of putting circularity into practice, and four businesses which have been going circular will present their business cases and experiences in different European situations.

The event will close with a look at the project's results, followed by conclusions and networking over lunch.

It will take place at 09:30 to 13:00 CET on 30 October. It will be in English and be held in person and online. See the programme and register to attend on-site or remotely.
