Scope

ECOSYSTEX is a community of close to 100 EU-funded textile sustainability and circularity R&I projects. Once a year, experts, innovators and industry leaders from the community get together with the public to hold discussions, share results from their ongoing project work and form future collaborations.

The fourth ECOSYSTEX Conference will bring together six ECOSYSTEX member projects, each hosting dedicated sessions on advancing circularity and sustainability across the European textile and fashion sector.

It will bring together experts, innovators and industry leaders to explore circular textiles beyond recycling. Participants will gain insight into cutting-edge research, practical tools and policy approaches driving the shift towards circular textiles beyond recycling — with plenty of opportunities to connect with project teams and fellow stakeholders across the European value chain.

The programme includes:

  • Two days of insightful discussions, networking and collaboration around the theme of circular textiles beyond recycling
  • Interactive sessions led by six EU-funded textile sustainability R&I projects
  • Publication & presentation of the Bioeconomy Innovation Strategy for the European Fibres, Textiles and Apparel Industry by Textile ETP
  • Private tours:
    • Showcase of a CISUTAC pilot: A semi-automated garment repair station at De Kringwinkel Antwerp
    • Fashion & Sustainability Walk through Antwerp, guided by MoMu Fashion Museum Antwerp
  • Exclusive visits to:
    • Centexbel, Belgium's textile & plastics research centre, in Ghent
    • Resortecs, a design-led technology company, in Brussels
(There are limited places for these visits, and you must be a member of ECOSYSTEX or Textile ETP).
