ESPP workshop on the legal aspects of algae
The European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform (ESPP) is organising a workshop on the legal status of biomass produced in wastewater treatment or with waste gas, manure or food waste inputs, to be used in fertilisers, feeds and industry.
The workshop will discuss the legal analysis proposed by Barry Love, Environmental Law Chambers, accredited specialist in environmental law (the draft legal analysis will be made available to participants before the meeting).
Along with networking opportunties, there will be presentations on:
- The context and perspectives for algae in the circular economy
- Regulatory aspects of waste status, sewage and wastewater
- Manure, food waste and animal feed.
The event will take place on 13 November at 14:00 – 18:30 in Brussels and online. Updated programme, more information and registration. Onsite registration costs EUR 50 + VAT and online registration is free.
