Scope

suHCO (Systemic Sustainability Transition Solution for Health Care Organisations through PCP) is a Horizon Europe project which began in September 2025. It brings together three public procurers (CSC, ISRAA, HDUHB) from Spain, the UK and Italy, providing services to 6.4 million people.

The project aims to develop an AI-powered horizontal digital planning and execution-driven system enabling the healthcare sector to become more sustainable and circular. The system will adapt to the local regulatory requirements, it will be scalable and both individual healthcare organisations and entire health systems will be able to implement it. The system will also be modular, enabling specialised software companies to embed components into existing solutions. Uptake will cut material use, waste and pollution and advance One Health globally.

Contracts will be awarded in three competitive phases, with solutions tested by all procurers with a view to adoption across Europe.

Technology providers, SMEs, start-ups and research organisations working on AI, digital platforms and sustainability in health and care are invited to join the international Open Market Consultation for this project.

This online event will:

  • Present the suHCO project, its goals and the opportunities for the planned pre-commercial procurement (PCP).
  • Explain the PCP and tender process, including phases and expected R&D budget.
  • Discuss the scope and functional needs of the solution they plan to procure.
  • Support networking and consortium building among potential suppliers.

The webinar will be in English and take place at 11:00-13:00 CET on 26 February. Registration.
