International seminar on biopolymers and sustainable composites
The seminar will bring together leading experts to explore the challenges and opportunities of sustainable bioplastics and biocomposites in the context of the circular economy.
Its main focus is applying innovation, promoting excellence and advancing science and technology with clear industrial applications. It will explore ways to boost business competitiveness and sustainability through advanced technologies, while also diversifying products and raw materials in order to open up new market opportunities and reduce environmental impact.
Day 1:
- Bioplastics and bioeconomy
- Standardization and certification
- Raw materials, including microbial recycling of bioplastics and the circular bioeconomy paradigm
- There also be a visit to the AIMPLAS facilities and dinner
Day 2:
- Biopolymers in open environments, including circular bioeconomy in the agricultural sector
- Case studies, including Inzea biopolymers in agriculture: a sustainable and circular contribution
A poster session will showcase new scientific projects developed within the past three years. The guidelines are available here and the deadline for applying is 15 February.
