PCEP 2024 Annual Conference - Bridging the Gap: Collaborating for Circular Polyolefins

The Polyolefin Circular Economy Platform (PCEP) 2024 Annual Conference on Bridging the Gap: Collaborating for Circular Polyolefins will take place on 6 June at The Hotel Brussels. It will be preceded by the gala dinner on 5 June.

Polyolefins are a leading material in a wide variety of industries and for a huge array of applications, ranging from everyday household use to specialised industrial applications. They are the most widely used family of plastics, accounting for half of all European plastics demand and nearly two thirds of all collected post-consumer plastics waste. In short, they have to be factored in to any consideration of the transition to a circular economy.

PCEP brings together all the links in the European polyolefin value chain, including brand owners, retailers, waste management organisations, recyclers, converters and producers. Together, they aim to transform the entire polyolefin system from linear to circular.

The conference will explore the pressing issues which must be addressed if Europe is to switch to a circular economy and have a net zero future. You will hear about the EU's plans to advance this agenda, what support is needed for industry to get there, and how collaboration will be key to success.

There will be a lineup of policy and industry speakers, including:

  • Emmanuelle Maire, Head of Unit, Circular Economy, Sustainable Production & Consumption, DG Environment
  • Céline Domecq, Director Public Affairs EU, Volvo Cars
  • Otto Linher, Senior expert, REACH Unit, DG Internal Market, Industry, Enterprise and SMEs
  • Kristy-Barbara Lange, Head of Public Affairs, APK
  • Christoph Lindner, Managing Partner, Conversio.

The gala dinner will take place on 5 June from 19:00 to 22:00 CEST, and the conference on 6 June from 10:00 to 14:00 CEST. Register.
