Recycling and production of highly efficient catalysts for different applications
This workshop is co-organised by the EU-funded projects FIREFLY (working on a sustainable transition of the catalyst-based European chemicaL industry) and PEACOC (focusing on the efficient recovery of precious metals from European end of life resources with novel low-cost technologies), with the participation of NEO-CYCLE, ALCHEMHY, SUSTAINCELL and HIGHLANDER. It is a side event during the first day of Raw Materials Week.
It will bring together six EU-funded projects representing an ecosystem of 80 organisations driving:
- the sustainable recovery of catalysts from secondary resources,
- the development of novel highly efficient catalytic materials tailored for different applications, and
- the electrification of the catalyst production process using renewable energy.
The projects are working on the sustainable production of catalysts, and are known for their critical role in sectors such as chemical products, fuel cells and automotive auto catalyst, biomass treatment, ammonia production and hydrogen production.
The Clustering event will be an opportunity for participants to share knowledge on the different approaches used for the recycling, recovery and production of high-efficient catalysts tailored to different applications. The goal is to stimulate synergies and innovations in this field, and identify potential exploitation routes.
This event will take place in English at 09:30 - 12:30 CET on 17 November. Participation is free of charge. However, prior registration is mandatory and seats for attending in person are limited to 40 people. There is no limitation for participating online. Programme.
