The bioSOILUTIONS project is developing circular solutions that transform biowaste into market-ready soil improvers. Through Living Labs in Flanders, Valencia and Murcia, the project is working to ensure that these solutions meet market, regulatory and societal needs. 

It is part of the EU Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’, one of five Missions funded under the EU Research and Innovation Programme Horizon Europe. It aims to create 100 Living Labs and Lighthouses by 2030 to promote sustainable land and soil management in urban and rural areas. 

This webinar will explore struvite-based nutrient recovery, from phosphate recovery and the underlying science to the technology and market pathway for sustainable fertilisers.

It will cover:

• the technology and science behind struvite-based nutrient recovery, including the Nutrients Recovery Systems (NuReSys) technology which recovers phosphorus, nitrogen and potassium from waste streams, 
• struvite’s role as a slow-release sustainable fertiliser,
• what the bioSOILUTIONS project is achieving.
