Consultation on the revision of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive: have your say!
The European Commission is inviting all citizens and the wider community of stakeholders to express their views in a consultation on the revision of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive before 6 January 2021 (midnight CET).
The consultation aims to gather information and views on the options to review the current legal framework on packaging waste. It will gather both general views from the public on the challenges related to reducing and recycling packaging waste and more detailed information and opinions from involved national authorities, experts and private actors.
Relevant evidence is expected to be gathered in the form of views and opinions, supported, as far as possible, by facts and figures. Consultation questions seek input that goes beyond the materials already available as part of the Commission’s studies and reports.
You can contribute to this consultation by filling in the online questionnaire. If you are unable to use the online questionnaire, you may contact the European Commission by email. You can submit your responses in any official EU language.
For reasons of transparency, organisations and businesses taking part in public consultations are asked to register in the EU’s Transparency Register.
