Launch of a call for proposals by UNEP in connection with the InTEX project

“Innovative Business Practices and Economic Models in the Textile Value Chain” (InTEX) is a three-year project run by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and funded by the EU. It has two globally-oriented components and three components with a focus on national implementation in three African countries where textiles is a key economic sector and where companies, including SMEs, are part of multinational value chains (for example, exporting towards the European market).

UNEP is seeking an Implementing Partner to support its impact assessment work on sustainable economic pathways for sustainable and circular textiles. The selected partner will carry out an evaluation of different circular interventions in the textile value chain, exploring the likely environmental, social and economic outcomes, at global level, of these different approaches.

Applications are sought from public institutions, academia (research institutes, universities), non-government organisations (NGOs) and other not-for-profit organisations. Please see the detailed call for proposals, including the application form. Should you have any questions, please contact Claire Thiebault by email. The deadline for submitting proposals is Monday 16 May 2022.
