DEFINITE-CCRI is an innovative project funded by the European Union to support the transition towards a circular economy in European cities and regions. Launched in 2022, the project provides project development assistance and guidance to circular economy project developers to increase the likelihood of success in attracting investment. It is part of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative.

This project has produced the DEFINITE-CCRI Circularity Tool designed to enable project leads to evaluate their own ventures, learn the necessary steps to bring it to bankability and understand how best to approach investors for capital deployment. There is also a Guidebook if you prefer a text version to the online tool: they both serve the same purpose.

The Guidebook has four sections:

• Pre-Screening Phase
• Readiness Phase
• Self-Paced Due Diligence Guidelines
• Checklist and Indications for Attracting Investors

It steers you through determining project readiness, sets out checklists and best practices, and offers guidance on preparing investor-ready documents. It will support project teams from the early stages of business model creation through to critical interactions with investors, providing a structured pathway for project success.
