WINPOL Final Conference: Waste Management Intelligent Systems and Policies

Innovation in waste management (such as smart bins, smart apps, new digital imaging techniques and innovative business models) provides an excellent opportunity to improve policies aiming to minimise waste generation and promote resource efficiency. It is no surprise that innovation is a key component of the European Green Deal and Circular Economy Action Plan.

However, the degree of introduction of innovative equipment and practices varies significantly from one territory to another. The nine partners of the Interreg Europe WINPOL project therefore joined forces to mainstream the use of intelligent equipment and related waste management policies in their territories and beyond.

Thanks to WINPOL, partners exchanged experiences and identified good practices. Most importantly, however, they developed action plans to improve their own waste policies, putting into practice the knowledge gained. After four and a half years, the WINPOL adventure will come to an end this autumn. Before that, the WINPOL partners are pleased to invite you to look back and review the successes achieved at project level and the progress made in the use of intelligent systems and policies in the field of waste management.

This event will be web-streamed. To join the online streaming, please register here before 24 May. Note that it will not be possible for online attendees to ask questions or interact with speakers and other participants.

More details, including the agenda, are available on the event page.
