BECOME project: circular economy training materials
BECOME (Boosting Circular Economy Expertise through Learning Communities) is an Erasmus+ project focusing on fostering the circular skills of future experts in the circular economy.
Running from from 2024 to the end of 2026, it aims to forger closer ties between higher education institutes/vocational education and training bodies and labour market actors, with a view to equipping current and future professionals with the skills needed to develop viable solutions and business models for the circular economy.
The project has produced:
1. An educator's manual for teaching the circular economy. This is designed to help educators guide learners through the key question: How can we design systems that reduce waste, keep value in circulation, and support people and the planet?
The manual provides:
- A clear introduction to the foundations of circular economy
- Practical tools for explaining circular economy principles and actions
- Real-life case studies from companies, sectors, and learning environments
- Exercises that can be adapted for classrooms, workshops, or training sessions
- Recommended further reading for educators and learners
- Access to additional learning materials, including a slide package available through the BECOME website
2. Training for professionals worksheets. These contain practical exercises designed to support learning and professional development. The worksheets go from Foundations of the Circular Economy to Circular Maturity Assessment.
