Cupffee: a tasty alternative to single-use plastic cups
Description
Cupffee cups are designed to replace single-use plastic ones. Made from plant-based material, they can handle temperatures of up to 85˚C, they do not leak or alter the taste of the liquid and can be eaten or composted after use.
There is a strong circular component to them. One of the main ingredients is oat bran, which is defined as a by-product of oat grain processing. The manufacturing process is run along zero waste lines: the ingredients are mixed into a dough which is baked and shaped and remnants are used to make stirrers. As a result, the manufacturing process does not generate any waste or pollution.
Cupffee is already present in 55 countries, selling to international companies such as Metro.
