La Polveriera
Description

The "Polveriera" is an urban regeneration project conceived by the "Consorzio Oscar Romero" and social cooperatives:

Coress - Il Piccolo Principe - L'Ovile - Elfo - Dimora d'Abramo - Anemos - New Harvest

together with other companies, associations and local bodies.

The initiative aims to redevelop an existing neighborhood ("Mirabello") at risk of degradation, through the regeneration of a part of a structure used as a weapons warehouse during the Second World War, acquired on free loan.

The regeneration allowed to start a series of initiatives on the concerned area:

  • disability and for asylum seekers services
  • coworking
  • employment agency
  • cultural and socio-occupational space
  • civic hall
  • multipurpose hall
  • cooperative
  • trade activities of organic products and short production chain.
