Description

Renewi E-waste collects Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), recycles it and sells the resulting plastic, ferrous and non-ferrous materials. There is no shortage of WEEE so they can guarantee a steady flow of secondary raw materials.

They have four treatment plants across the Netherlands, Belgium and France, and operate the world's largest line dedicated to refrigerator plastics. They work closely with manufacturers of consumer products, and develop high-quality recycling processes geared to recovering materials with the highest possible purity.

The Renewi E-waste Plastics branch supplies high-purity secondary raw materials from various WEEE streams, resulting in a variety of qualities and colours from 100% post-consumer plastics. Their end product is recycled plastic pellets for reuse by their original equipment manufacturer partners.

Their recyclates are suitable for circular solutions and are certified under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and WEEELABEX (WEEE LABel of Excellence).

Main results

At their four treatment plants, they process over 120 000 tonnes of cooling and freezing appliances, small domestic appliances, LHA, ICT, air conditioning units and heat pumps every year.
