BUILD UP, the European portal for energy efficiency and renewable energy in buildings, is hosting the fifth in a series of six webinars organised with the CircularB COST Action project. This one is on Contractors, Builders and Manufacturers of Construction Products.

The construction sector is responsible for a high share of emissions and resource consumption, with a challenging legal and economic framework. 

• Rita Moura, the Teixeira Duarte Group's Director of Innovation, will provide insight into sustainability, circularity and innovation in the construction sector. She will present the path Teixeira Duarte has taken towards a more sustainable architectural, engineering and construction sector and built environment. 
• Maria João Martins, Corporate Sustainability Manager of ACA Group, will cover key sustainability initiatives at ACA Group. She will highlight corporate sustainability reporting and the successful implementation of the eCircular certification, which evaluates the company’s circularity level. The presentation will also focus on efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of the construction sector. 
• Christophe Sykes, Director-General of Construction Products Europe, will highlight the essential changes that the revision of the Construction Products Regulation will deliver, including the introduction of a Digital Product Passport and the inclusion of sustainability indicators in the Declaration of Performance and Conformity.

Between the requirements of the EU Green Deal and the housing crisis, we need a competitive and sustainable construction ecosystem. This workshop aims to show how the construction sector is working to deliver this.
