Circular economy and innovation in the textiles, clothing, leather and footwear ecosystem: business opportunities, waste management and bio-based materials
The transition to a circular and competitive textiles ecosystem requires innovative approaches to resource use, waste management and sustainable materials.
Each year, the EU Textiles Ecosystem Platform organises workshops encouraging participants to contribute ideas, share experiences and discuss solutions to pressing topics affecting the textiles, clothing, leather and footwear ecosystem. This year's focuses on business opportunities, waste management and bio-based materials, and this event is the plenary session which will present key findings and facilitate discussion on common challenges, emerging opportunities and priority actions for the sector.
By fostering dialogue among industry representatives, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders, the event aims to identify pathways to strengthen the sustainable competitiveness, resilience and innovation capacity of Europe's TCLF industries.
Discussions will focus on two strategic areas: circular waste management and bio-based materials, highlighting emerging innovations, business models and scaling opportunities.
Participation is free, but registration is required for both in-person and online attendees. On-site places are limited.
The event will take place in English on 4 November at 17:00-18:00 CET. It will be held at Ecomondo Trade Fair, Sala Noce, pad. A6, Rimini (Italy) and online via Zoom.
