Cities and regions increasingly recognise the importance of the circular economy - but they often struggle to turn ambition into action and unlock its environmental, economic and social potential. City practitioners need the right information, presented in the right way and at the right time in order to convince policymakers, prioritise the right investments and measure progress.

Easier said than done, through. How do you decide what to measure to meaningfully capture your city's circular transition? Which locally relevant indicators are hidden in existing data? And how do you ensure new information will lead to action? 

Drawing on insights from the CCRI Community of Practice on Monitoring and Indicators for the circular economy, this interactive workshop will explore practical approaches to circular economy monitoring, helping you uncover meaningful insights that support evidence-based policymaking and long-term circular ambitions.

• What can you realistically measure? 
• How can the results inform policymaking?

First-hand cases from the region of Friesland and the cities of Amsterdam, Leuven and Mataró will demonstrate different approaches to collecting, interpreting and applying data.
