The Consumer Footprint Calculator (CFC) is a tool enabling anyone to assess the environmental impact of their consumption patterns. The goal is of course to promote a more sustainable lifestyle.

The CFC is an integral part of the KnowSDGs platform developed by the European Commission. It helps provide a roadmap for achieving sustainable development in Europe and monitors progress towards the UN's 2030 Goals for Sustainable Development, which are broadly aligned with those of the European Green Deal.

This webinar will present the calculator. In addition, a panel of field experts from various European Commission directorates-general, universities and think tanks will discuss the relevance of lifestyles and their environmental impact from different perspectives, including circularity, biodiversity, rebound effects and consumer behaviour.

The webinar will take place in English at 10:00-11:30 CEST on 8 May.

There is no need to register: the event will be webstreamed. Participants are welcome to join the discussion via the interaction tools provided during the webstream.
