EOLIAN webinar: A new generation of sustainable wind turbine blades

The EU-funded EOLIAN project is developing a new generation of smart, sustainable wind turbine blades, aligning with the wind energy industry's commitment to enhanced sustainability and reduced environmental impacts over the complete life cycle of a wind turbine.

In this webinar EOLIAN partners will provide an introduction to the project and its mission to develop a new generation of wind turbine blades offering longer lifetime, better maintainability and reliability, together with higher sustainability and recyclability. Guest speakers will offer insights from related EU-funded projects.

The webinar is aimed at research, industry and policy professionals interested in advancing sustainability and circularity in wind energy. Participants will learn about new vitrimer composite materials for manufacturing recyclable and repairable blades, technologies to enable blade structural health monitoring and de-icing, and the potential technical, economic and environmental benefits these EOLIAN innovations can bring to the wind energy industry.

This event will take place online at 10:00 CET on 11 December. Programme and registration.
