Closed loop recycling – from vision to reality is an EU Green Week partner event which will take place on 31 May at 9:00 - 10:00 CEST. Novelis and USAD will demonstrate how they have worked together to deliver a closed-loop recycling system in Lithuania and discuss its development and impact with high-level EU policy makers.
USAD’s Lithuanian deposit-based return system is considered to be one of the best in the world, collecting 90.2% of metal packaging across the country. Novelis is the world’s largest aluminium recycler, producing aluminium products with market-leading levels of recycled content. It is also the leading sustainable aluminum solutions provider and operates the largest closed-loop recycling system in the world, based in Europe. Their collaboration supports the EU’s goal of making ‘recycled in Europe’ the global standard, increasing European resource efficiency and thereby working towards open strategic autonomy and a more circular Europe.
Join the webinar and learn about how the EU can help make closed-loop recycling systems the market norm. Registration.
