First policy roundtable on legal and economic barriers to food waste prevention and reduction - FOODRUS
The FOODRUS first policy roundtable on legal and economic barriers to food waste prevention and reduction will take place online on 11 October at 10:00 – 12:00 CET. During this interactive meeting, barriers identified by FOODRUS partners will be presented and explored with meeting participants.
The workshop has three objectives:
- Understand to what extent the identified barriers are representative of participants' national and regional circumstances;
- Evaluate to what extent these barriers are still an issue, how important they are, and instances of policy-makers managing to overcome them;
- Identify other barriers that do not appear in the current overview of barriers identified by the FOODRUS consortium partners.
There will be a short introduction of the goals of the FOODRUS project in terms of policy analysis, followed by an interactive session where the barriers at each stage of the food value chain will be analysed and evaluated.
To participate, you will need to register. You will then receive a link to the online workshop a week before the meeting starts.
