Scope

The circular economy is a system where waste is designed out, everything is used at its highest possible value for as long as possible and natural systems are regenerated. If done well, it can deliver a range of environmental, social and economic benefits.

Join the event for the launch of the Circularity Gap Report Sweden on 21 April 2022 at 10:00 CEST to learn more about the state of circularity in Sweden and how advancing it can help strengthen climate action. The event is organized and funded by the strategic innovation programme RE:Source. The presentation of the report is followed by a panel discussion.

Circle Economy and the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE) have analysed the circularity of the Swedish economy in the the Circularity Gap Report Sweden that highlights the urgent need to transition to a circular economy. The report has the potential to empower key decision makers in both government and business to coordinate action to accelerate that transition. The report measures current states of circularity and is a tool for bringing together stakeholders from businesses, governments, academia and NGOs to input and evaluate our findings on the state of the transition based on latest scientific evidence.
