Scope

INN-PRESSME is a consortium of 27 partners from nine countries helping European SMEs and companies develop bio-based solutions in the packaging, energy, transport and consumer goods sectors.

Funded under the Horizon 2020 programme, the INN-PRESSME Open Innovation Test Bed offers a wide range of services for feedstock conversion, materials development and upgrading with a focus on nano-cellulose, bioplastics and natural fibres. Companies and SMEs can access the pilot facilities, capabilities and services required for developing, testing and upscaling nanotechnology and advanced materials in industrial environments. Technical and market-oriented services are available to bring new material concepts to the market. All new bio-material developments, formulations and processes are tested in nine test cases.

The project will shortly be holding its final event, bringing together investors, industry, policy makers, clusters, universities and research centres. It will be an opportunity to discuss the project results, technologies, market services and lessons learned, focusing on the innovative test cases.

The event will include:

  • A session on recycling policies and packaging regulations;
  • A session during which open call winners will showcase their innovations and highlight how they used the 16 pilot lines’ technologies and tailored technical and market services;
  • Discussions with key bioeconomy stakeholders on policy recommendations related to the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and recycling policies.

The conference will take place at 14:30 -17:50 CET on 2 December as a satellite event to the Pitch Perfect and Boost the European Bioeconomy 2024 event. There is no charge for attending. The event will be in person only (although it will be livestreamed on Greenovate! Europe's Youtube channel) and in English.
