Scope

The FertiCovery project focuses on nutrient recovery and the production of fertilisers from biowaste, manure and wastewater. It identifies the best available technologies for recycling fertilisers from secondary raw materials and helps policymakers and stakeholders remove barriers and adopt alternative fertilising products.

Its goal is to describe and assess 25 nutrient recovery and biobased fertiliser technologies, including their feedstocks, value chains, products and applications. The analysis covers technical and environmental performance, feedstock availability, upscaling potential, regulatory frameworks, costs, social risks and replication potential.

They are organising a workshop to gather stakeholder feedback on the 25 selected technologies, with a focus on their upscaling potential and the regulatory frameworks governing them, including associated barriers and enablers.

This online workshop is organised by the European Biogas Association, which is leading FertiCovery's work on market uptake. It will take place in English at 11:00–12:30 CEST on 13 April. Register here
