On Monday 27 June from 11:00 to 13:00 CEST, the event Pushing Innovative, Collaborative and Circular Fashion & Textile SMEs in the European Union will celebrate United Nations International Micro-, Small and Medium-Enterprises Day.

This is the third round of presentations of 10 innovative CirCoAX projects within the CircularInnoBooster project co-funded by the Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (COSME) of the European Union. It aims to transform the fashion and textile industry into a circular and regenerative activity.

The event will bring together representatives from UNEP, the European Union and key players and projects in the textile industry to promote cooperation and empowerment of the companies that need to achieve a green transition. At the Casa de la Seda in Barcelona, 10 important industry players will celebrate this international day. They will also present innovative ideas in the field of fashion and textiles with a focus on circular economy and social innovation, which will transform them into resilient and transformative businesses. The 10 businesses are:

  • the accelerated FGHR,
  • Pigmentalia,
  • Júlia G Escribà,
  • From the Med,
  • ZWDO,
  • From Trash to Life,
  • Endless Garments,
  • RE-FONTVODDE,
  • Brefashion and
  • Newex

The CirCoAX accelerator provides businesses with skills and funding that enable them to design local solutions and set an example of good practice in the EU. It is implemented by the CircularInnoBooster project consortium, which includes Texfor, Finnova, the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), The Circular Project with HumanNation and Circulab. Their commitment to business training and empowerment has driven them to create more than an acceleration programme: it is a co-creation and co-innovation ecosystem consisting of 30 consortia.

Anyone interested in learning about disruptive ideas in the field of fashion and textiles, as well as international projects driven by different entities, is welcome to attend this hybrid event.
