DPP timeline 2026–2030: Every product, every deadline
Keeping up with EU Digital Product Passport deadlines?

July-September 2026
- The EU Digital Product Passport (DPP) Registry became operational on 20 July 2026.
- The ban on the destruction of unsold textiles applies to large enterprises.
- Generic environmental claims ("green", "eco-friendly", etc.) are banned unless properly substantiated.
18 February 2027
- Battery Passports become mandatory for:
- Electric vehicle batteries
- Light means of transport batteries (e-bikes, e-scooters)
- Industrial batteries above 2 kWh placed on the EU market.
2027
- The European Commission is expected to adopt the Textiles Delegated Act, paving the way for Digital Product Passport requirements in the textile sector.
2028-2030
- DPP requirements are expected to expand progressively to additional product groups, including textiles, furniture, electronics and other priority sectors.
