New calls for projects under LIFE concerning textile waste and compost from collected organic waste are now open

The final part of the LIFE 2021 call for proposals is open. The call for projects responding to specific Union legislative and policy priorities (PLP) (LIFE-2021-PREP) has now been published.

Under the topics Circular Economy & Quality of Life and Nature & Biodiversity, specific projects include, amongst others:

  • Improving traceability of exports of used textiles/textile waste and Improving recycling of textile waste within the EU (foreseen EU contribution: 1 000 000 EUR, EU co-financing rate: 90%)
  • Preparing the basis for EU guidance and standardisation on closing the gap in the biological cycle to enrich soils with high quality compost from collected organic waste (maximum available EU co-financing: 1 500 000 EUR; EU co-financing rate: 90%).

Deadline to apply is 10 March 2022 at 17:00 CET.
