New CE training opportunity for professionals: the Circular Rethinking Academy winter school, Italy
The first edition of the Circular Rethinking Academy - a winter school on Circular Economy organised by Trentino Sviluppo S.p.A. - took place in Rovereto (Italy) from 3rd February to 5th March 2020.
The target audience included professionals and C-level executives from SMEs and large companies.
The training programme, which aimed at providing professionals and technicians with specific skills and competencies in the field of circular economy, is part of a wider cooperative project involving a pool of companies (Terra Institute, Materia Rinnovabile, Ardian, Nuova Saimpa, Ecobeton, etc.), some of which based in the Business Innovation Centre Progetto Manifattura in Rovereto.
The curriculum for the course was spread through four training modules covering:
- system thinking
- resource provision
- design
- production and distribution
- business models generation
- metrics and
- legal frameworks.
The programme included courses provided by international experts on circular economy such as: Walter Stahel, Massimiano Tellini (Banca Intesa), Professor Franco Fassio (University of Pollenzo), Professor Fabrizio Valpreda (Politecnico of Turin), Emanuele Bompan (Renewable Matter). To explore concrete cases, the students spent a week in Berlin visiting, among others, the Cradle2Cradle Lab.
