SUEZ developed an innovative solution (batiRIM®),  to public and private development project professionals for the selective deconstruction of buildings in order to maximise reuse and recycling rates.

Developed in partnership with Resolving1, batiRIM® adopts an unprecedented approach to the deconstruction of buildings. This solution quantifies, qualifies and maps the flows of products and materials from buildings being renovated, redeveloped or deconstructed and assesses their potential for reuse and recycling, before the works even start.

Thanks to this forward-looking approach and digital modelling techniques, the materials identified on deconstruction or renovation sites are sent to reuse contractors and, in future, can be used in new building programmes as part of a short loop in the circular economy.
